About Sophia:

Sophia Twohig is a Philadelphia based Actor!!

Growing up in the suburbs of the city, her exposure to theater and music began before she could even talk, as her mother is a singer and music teacher. Sophia spent much of her childhood in rehearsal rooms, observing musicians and artists at work before she was old enough to join in herself.

She began primarily as a singer, but her mother’s and grandmother’s love for live theater ultimately exposed her to what would become her passion. Annual trips to the Kimmel Center allowed her to watch professional performers onstage, which inspired and helped her realize that this was what she wanted to pursue. From that point,  she attended countless theater camps, was in her school musicals, sang in jazz band and participated in anything that allowed her to perform.

Sophia then went on to attend DeSales University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and will graduate in May 2026. During her time there, she has been involved in numerous stage productions and also discovered a passion for television and film through her work in student films.

What Sophia loves most about theater and TV/film is the collaboration that happens throughout the creative process. She values the opportunity to meet and work with a wide range of people and finds joy in building stories together.

In her free time, Sophia enjoys hiking, traveling, binge watching movies and television shows, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She also loves attending shows in Philadelphia and New York, whether to support friends or to see what new work is emerging.
